    What are Family Perks?

    Family Perks are our way of making your family's mobiles more rewarding and hassle free. If you've got more than one contract on your account, even if it's a SIM only contract, each of you can pick a free monthly Family Perk. If you joined after 31 January 2017, these are the Family Perks you can choose, depending on each person's monthly payment. The more you pay, the bigger your reward.

    If you joined, upgraded or changed your tariff before 31 January 2017, you can choose any of these monthly Family Perks.

    If you want to choose one of the new Family Perks, you'll need to change to one of our new tariffs by calling our Customer Care team on 4455.

    How do Family Perks work?

    Pay monthly customers – including SIM only customers – with more than one contract on the same account can add a free monthly Family Perk for each contract. You each choose your own Family Perk and it'll be added automatically to your account every month. You can use your Family Perk just like your monthly allowances of minutes, texts and data.

    You can change your Family Perk in My Account or our app any time. Any changes you make will start from your next bill date.

    If you choose extra Tesco Clubcard points as your Family Perk, they'll be added to your Tesco Clubcard account after you pay your Tesco Mobile bill.

    If you join any of our new Tesco Mobile pay monthly tariffs, including SIM only, and have two or more contracts on the same account you can choose your Family Perks when you check out.

    If your pay monthly or SIM only contract started after 31 January 2017, just add one or more contracts to your account and each contract will get a free monthly Family Perk. You can choose your Family Perks in My Account or our app.

    Can everyone on Tesco Mobile get Family Perks?

    Pay monthly customers, including SIM only customers, can get Family Perks as long as they've changed to a pay monthly contract or joined Tesco Mobile after 2 July 2012

    Pay as you go customers can’t get Family Perks.

    How long do Family Perks last?

    Each Family Perk lasts for a month and renews each month on your bill date. It stays on your account until you ask us to change it or remove it. You can change your Family Perks in My Account or our app any time.

    Can I get Family Perks if I've got a tablet?

    Yes, you can get Family Perks as long as you've got two or more pay monthly contracts, including tablets and tablet SIMs, on your account. With a tablet or tablet SIM, your Family Perk will always be extra data.

    How often can I change my Family Perk?

    You can change your Family Perk each month if you want to. Just go to My Account or our app to change it and it'll change on your next bill date.

    What happens if I cancel one of my contracts?

    To keep getting Family Perks, you always need to have at least two pay monthly contracts on your account. If you cancel a contract and only have one contract on your account, then your Family Perks will be cancelled from your next bill date. We'll text you if this is going to happen.

    Can I get Family Perks if I buy a bundle that includes more than one device?

    Your bundle counts as one contract, so you’ll need to have a least one other pay monthly contract on your account to get Family Perks.

    What happens if I upgrade?

    If you upgrade you'll be asked to choose your Family Perk again. If you upgrade after 31 January 2017, then you'll be able to choose from these rewards.

    What happens if I change my tariff?

    If you change your tariff after 31 January 2017, you can choose one of our new Family Perks.

    If you change your tariff, you might have to pay an early termination fee. To avoid this, you'll need to move to a tariff that costs the same as you pay now or more. When you do this, you won't commit to a new end date for your contract, it'll finish on the same date as before. If you upgrade, you're signing a new contract with new terms and a new end date.

    Can I get Family Perks if I have two separate accounts?

    No. You can only get Family Perks on an account that has two or more pay monthly contracts. If you want to get Family Perks and you've got contracts on separate accounts you'll need to cancel one and set up new contracts on the same account. You can transfer your number over. Remember, if any contract's still within its minimum term (for example, 24 months), then you might have to pay an early termination fee.
